There are many approaches to capturing requirements for a technology project. IEEE 830 prescribes a very structured approach for how software requirements should be documented. Use Case is another, somewhat less formal approach to requirements. However, User Stories, because of their simplicity, are the best approach for capturing requirements for agile projects.
This presentation will examine what user stories are, how they are structured, and why they are effective. It will compare user stories to other approaches to highlight the differences. Topics such as estimating with user stories and planning a release will also be covered.
