While adopting Agile is never easy, for a project manager who is trained in traditional project management, especially PMPs, the path can be even tougher. This lecture will recount the experiences of an experienced PMP who had a long, hard road to Agile. The presentation will draw on experiences using Extreme Programming, Scrum and a mix of other Agile related approaches across a number of projects. It will key on specific points that can lead to success or failure when adopting an Agile approach.
Attendees should leave this talk with an understanding of the challenges they face when moving towards Agile as well as an understanding of some of the steps they can take to increase their chances of success and things they should avoid, no matter how reluctantly they are crossing the bridge from traditional to Agile.
