PMI charters an agreement to outline the Authorities and Responsibilities of the component Project Management Institute Middle East North Africa (MENA) Chapter and PMI to one another

The component's (Herein referred to as PMI MENA Chapter) governmental registration verifies that the component is incorporated/registered as a legal entity under the local name of Egyptian Project Management Society (EPMS) and its current training arm "CEC/MENA R.E.P." Consulting Engineering Center

The Arab Contractors believes in the importance of the discipline of Project Management which has acquired greater weight over the past three decades. It believes that the only way out of the ever-rising competition of globalization is through the development of cooperation and mutual understanding between different cultures.

In light of this belief, the Arab Contractors established a link with the Project Management Institute which led to the birth of PMI MENA.

PMI MENA chapter is one of 251 charter-based regional chapters and 7 Potential chapters existing in 90 countries all over the world following the mother organization PMI.

The MENA Chapter has been charted since October 1998 during the PMI Leadership
Meeting in Long Beach, California, USA to enhance and develop the Project Management Professionalism in the Middle East and the North Africa region.

The component consider EPMS as an expert counsel for assistance related to legal, financial and "CEC MENA R.E.P." for technical assistance related to consulting, training and expert matters deemed appropriate by the Component Board of Directors.

The PMI MENA Chapter's mission is to enhance and activate the local project management staff, and the industry’s efforts and preparations for the globalization era, through the promotion of the PMI professional principles and objectives.
