The Spirit of Project Management

Description: An introduction to this new book by Judi Neal, Director of the International Center for Faith and Spirit at Work at University of Arkansas and Alan Harpham, Chairman of the APM Group.  This presentation explores why they wrote the book, why many earlier projects were influenced by mankind’s beliefs, and how some modern projects have been very spiritual.  It defines terms such as spirit and spirituality in PM and explains the importance of spirituality in providing real meaning and purpose to projects and programmers.  It looks at how spirituality applies to individuals, teams and organizations and techniques that can assist in better project leadership and management.  It ends with a brief history of PM and looks to future projects and particularly large social ones.
